In March, 2007, the Northwest Motor Sports Hall of Fame was founded with the sole purpose of recognizing those individuals who have contributed to the Northwest's vibrant motor sports history. Numerous individuals have helped create a legacy of racing excellence in the Northwest.
The Northwest Motor Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce our inaugural class. These 17 individuals represent our region well through their commitment to excellence.
Through their contributions to their chosen sports, these individuals have helped make the Northwest a key region in national racing matters that continues today.
An induction ceremony for this inaugural class will be held in early November in conjunction with Motor Sports 2008, a large show being held at the Tacoma Dome, November 7, 8, and 9.

The Hall of Fame was founded by Walt's Auto Care Centers. Preliminary discussions have been held with the LeMay Car Museum about housing the Hall of fame trophy and collection.
